Its safe to say that Big Punisher is an inspiration to many of us. I would like to take a moment to describe Big Pun's impact on my life, and then I will begin to allow others to express their feelings about Pun as well.

Although I know Hip-Hop inside and out, it was actually one of my friends who initially filled me in on Big Pun. Although I am definitely an East Coast fan, prior to Pun's debut I didn't own a copy of Joe's Jealous One's Envy. One of my friends was telling me to look out for this new MC named Big Punisher who had appeared on a few tracks here and there. After a while I heard Pun on a few joints, and I was surprised at how ill he was. When he released Capital Punishment, I sincerely believed that it was the best Hip-Hop album ever. He had the best delivery, a great sense of wordplay, and it was as though every line he threw was a knockout punch. I would just sit back and listen to his album and think, "Man, how could anybody think stuff up like that?". It was pure Hip Hop, plain and simple. Although I just stuck to producing for a while and kept doubting my own lyrical skills, Pun inspired me to pick up the pad and pen again. To a degree my style is a little reminiscent of Pun's, but by no means is it a cop.

Since Pun was my favorite artist before he gained platinum status and became widely popular, I made a point to follow everything that he was involved in. When I found out that he was ready to drop a second album, I made sure to buy a copy of it before its release date from a local record store that often hooked me up. I was simply too big of a fan and too excited to have to wait for it like everybody else. For those that know Pun's story, it was around this time that he had actually passed. I remember exactly where I was when I first heard about what had occurred. That morning I was told by someone who had heard on the radio that morning that Pun had suffered a heart attack. I was genuinely upset to hear the news, which had honestly surprised me because I had never really been affected upon hearing about the demise of any other celebrity (save for one). I spent my first free moments online, searching for anything that would possibly let me know that it was only a rumor and that Pun was safe. All day I could only think about how the greatest lyricist who ever lived would be gone forever, and the fact that he had a family and close friends that would greatly miss him only made the situation more unfortunate.

The day after Pun's demise I asked the local university's newspaper editor if I could write something on Pun's passing, as he was an important figure. Fortunately I was able to put my thoughts out for everyone to see, offering a detailed bio along with several of his specific achievements. Almost a year after that first letter I was able to write another article in the same newspaper about Pun's final release, Endangered Species. The purpose wasn't just to review the album, but to offer details on Pun's life and legacy so that I could help keep his memory alive.

Today a huge dry-mounted poster of Pun hangs prominently in my living room. In my studio above my synthesizer and keyboard workstation there is a framed picture of the cover of Source magazine when Pun finally made it on there. Every time I work on a beat or write a rhyme, I think about Big Pun and I let him know in my own way that every line and track is dedicated to him.

Big Pun is my biggest inspiration, as he is the most brilliant man in the history of Hip-Hop. This website is my tribute to Pun, so that his memory will live on forever. To those that knew him well, Pun was remembered as being funny and very generous. Many of his friends say that it was inevitable that everyone who came across him would be touched. Although I never knew Pun as a friend, I will always have love for him. Pun, I'll miss you.

It has been 3 years today since Big Pun died. Pun meant so much to hip hop. He was the first latino rapper to go platinum. He changed the complextion of the game and he should be remembered in rap history for that. In my mind, pun was the illest emcee to ever walk the earth. His flow was amazing and his lyrics were incredible, he just couldn't be stopped. The first time i heard him i couldn't believe how nice he was. He had a short career, and maybe he didnt get a chance to prove it to alot of people, but he is THE NICEST EVER. I put him in the catagorie above pac, biggie, nas, rakim, big daddy kane, ANY RAPPER. He is the best ever and theres no changing that. He meant so much to his latino people and he will be our leader forever.

For long time I believed that not many people understood the genius of this man. Where I'm from (philly) not many people new PUN for his hard-core work. They were only familiar with his commercial releases the most impressive thing in my opinion was his ability to stimulate the intellectual's who remain buried in the "bowls of the ghetto," I miss him for far too many reasons to write. I would put PUN up against any of these so called new age rappers, and just admire the slaughter. His verses on songs such as the "hidden hand" "banned from TV," and "capital punishment" are not only unremarkable they are flawless. As far as albums "Capital punishment" should be recognized along the same lines as "Ready to die" and "illmatic," as priceless articles of perfection that sadly will never be reproduced. I am a prime example that genius has no bounds. I am proud black man and I love PUN that was my man weather I knew him or not. For me he will never die.

Hi,

I just wanted to tell you that I loved your website "BIGPUNFOREVER".  I am
in the Navy and currently on my way to head out to the middle east to deal
with this problem we have over there.  ANyway, I remember the first time I
hear Pun on Joe's second album.  His lyrics were sick.  His delivery was
outstanding.  Every since then I have bought mixed tapes just tyring to hear
more collaborations.  ONce I got stationed down in Virginia Beach, VA all I
would do was pump Pun in my car and get all the heads down in VA to
understand that he was and we always be the best lyricist out there.  The
day of his passing my brother called me from the BX and told me what had
happened and at first I didn't believe him until I heard it on the radio
down here.  I told my wife and even she shed a tear.  My heart goes out to
his family and friends and respect goes out to you for what you have done.
You keep his memory alive in your work and god bless.

Sincerely,

Jon

i can remember the day he died like it was yesterday. i got to my homeroom and i saw on the board in big letters, "PUN IS DIED!" dog, my heart shattered, and i could hardly speak because Puns and me were niggaz. we never meet, but we didn’t have to because he connected his life and emotions to me through his music, his art. he was and is one of few people i could look up to and be proud of as a boricua myself... the worst part of the day was that i heard some white boyz behind me laugh and making fun of Him and His weight problem, so i bubble their faces up. anything for my mans. like PUN and prospect said, "i'm a ride for my niggaz/ die for my niggaz/ puff lye with my niggaz/ til I'm high with my niggaz." PUN we miss don... yo' i appreciate you for making a cite in His memory. i have visited mad times but i never had the balls to write. it's hard to thoughts into words, but somehow He could do it wif' the illest rhythmic pattern of all time... one luv...

Looking back on Pun's death, it hurts to think that such a talented rapper got taken from us so soon. I really miss that nigga and I wish he was still with us. But as he said "Depends on the state if death is my fate then cool I'm dyin, If that's my
destiny it's meant to be, Just remember to bury the
mothafucka that bent me right next to me, Aright crew?" No doubt Pun. If
you listen to his lyrics it sounds like he knew it was
coming so we should just hope that he was
ready for it and it didnt hurt too much. Looking back almost 3 year
later It still hurts to think about about his sudden death. He was the
illest nigga to ever do this, and maybe not too many people knew that
because he didn't have much time to show them all. His image is fading out
now in the hip hop game, so all his fans have to keep repping him and
remember to pour one out for your homies and raise your lighter in the
air for Pun. TS forever. R.I.P. Christopher Lee Rios. Let BP live on
in our lives

I gotta give you props homie....This entire site is straight thorough. It's because of people like you money that people will keep Pun bangin in ya head when you write rhymes and and In your heart when you remember the short lived legacy of who was once the ILLEST man who had walked the earth...not just the illest rapper. He was a man first before he was an Idol, a platinum star, or whatever. And as a man, he was everything I ever wanted to be....Proud of where he's from, loving father, successful, and had the right woman by his side. Yo, you can't knock nothin bout the man. He Graduated from Planet Earth with a hell of a Degree, ya nah mean? I'm from MD, and this is a few years after his passing, and I still feel it in my heart that he shouldn't have went when he did, but I leave all answers to Jesus Christ to help me understand why. Anyway, just my two cents, I gotta bounce now. cuidate PUN! R.I.P.

Yo, in all honesty, I was amazed when I found this site because I thought I had seen every Pun site online. Listening to the things you say about Pun are damn near identical to the things I say about him. Every since Capital Punishment, I've truly felt that his lyrical talent goes far beyond that of any rapper out there. I've gotten into so many arguments about the greatest rapper of all time, and you always have the Bigge, 2pac, and Jay-Z fans out there, and when I mention Pun they laugh. But no matter how many times they laugh, I will continue to feel that Pun was the greatest of all time. I don't know if anybody else will ever surpass his lyrical talent.  Just about every lyric Pun has dropped I have committed to memory and I would have no problem spitting all of Capital Punishment. When people mention classic albums, Capital Punishment should definitely be amongst them. I will never forget Pun, his memory will definitely live on through me.

My name is Jessica and i wanted to say that "Big Pun" was one of the
greatest artists i have ever heard. he had a style of his own that no-one
could even come close to...it's still hard to me that he has passed. he is my
all-time favorite artist and will always be ... when i found out what had
happened, it hit me like he was a personal friend of mine...i would have love
to have met him...not because he was popular but because he was himself and
didn't try to copy someone else's style...if i could say one thing to someone
in his life i would thank his mother for bringing such a talented and loved
person into this world..thank you mrs.rios

The first time I truly heard Big Punisher was on my 18th birthday. My
friend bought his second album Yeah Baby! as a present. As soon as I got
home I put it into the cd player and I knew right away that this was going
to be my favorite cd. The song Off With His Head is by far the best song
I've ever heard. Sometimes if I'm at a party I'll bring a Big Pun cd with
me and while nobody's looking I'll pop it into the cd player and blast a
killer song. I only wish I could have been lucky enough to see the illest
mc in concert. We'll miss you Big Pun forever.

yea yea wat tha deal i jus found this page, i was jus thinkin about pun and i had to see if he had any pages or anything. life is crazy yo i feel like god takes the wrong people. you know pun was the best ever, and even though he aint here phisically, he still lives on through his family, joe and the whole terror squad. i remember seeing him at the puerto rican day parade a few years ago and it made me madd happy to see him. yo the lines he dropped were crazy and how many words he could fit in a sentence. everyday when i go to school i see his mural on 163rd and i always look at it going and coming from school. i just feel that its unfair to his family and his fans that he was taken from us. im a dj and yea im always spinning his records or even if im in my crib i always listen to his music, why you ask because he inspired me in chasing what i believe in, and showed me that no matter where you from you can make it to the top of the world. every boricua, and bronx reppa has a piece of big pun in them whethere they realize it or not. may pun rest in piece and hope that his name never be forgotten.

The best rapper that ever lived Christopher Lee Rios A.K.A Big Punisher lived his life to the fullest and represented not only Puerto Ricans but hispanics all over the world. But on February 7, 2000 his life was cut short by a heart attack and respiratory failure. In that short time he accomplished more than most rappers will do in a life time. And what disappoints me the most is that everybody is talkin about how great Biggy is and no one takes a minute to realize the real big man(Big Pun). And another thing is that you see all biographys about Tupac and Biggy like every month on vh1 about what they did and what they accomplished. What about what Big Pun did and what he accomplished. You can say he is being left out as one of the greatest rappers to ever live. They should count him in a picture as being one of the greats. To everyone and especially all the youngins' growing up we don't need a video to see or a book to read to know he was the best rapper, you can tell by the lyrics in his music. Se acabo!

This is a tribute to Big Pun. Big Pun is the greatest lyricist to ever touch the mike as Fat Joe would say and i would agree with him. Big Pun's style is intouchable and flawless. There is no one that is even close to being on his level. I just wish his career wouldn't of been so short so that he would of been able to have come out with more albums. Big Pun opened the door for Latin rappers everywhere and i would like to tell these rappers to reach for the stars and live your life in dedication of Pun knowing all that he has done for us. R.I.P. I'll hold you down till the day I die.
Sincerely,
Raymond

BIG PUN was everything to me. Him and the TS was my inspiration for my future, which is rapping. PUN'S my peoples, for real!! There will never be another MC like that man. I remember when i first heard Pun, and i found out he was PUERTO-ROCK, me and my pops bought all his albums, posters, and all his sh*t! It made me feel good tha a Rican was holding it down for all my ricans out there! It was such a heart crusher when he died, I droped a gangsta tear, and played his album all day! I wouldn't shut up that day, and kept sayin to myself " I can't believe he's gone!" I prayed for his family and his soul every nite. Since he died, hold him deeply in my heart! I felt like i knew him, i guess it's just our New York state of Mind, or sum! He was a pioneer, a father, a husband, family man, and to me the BORICUAS and all the world a LEGEND. Pun is my idol, and love him and his family! Pun took a big toll of my life. I still poor the drink on the floor for him, R.I.P, and NYC BORICUAS and Pun 4EVER!

Big Pun was in my eyes he best rapper, he inspired me into liking every aspect of his music, so infact I bought all his albums and I listened to them all day. When he died, I stopped playing them because I was hurt and when I went to play them I felt more hurt but it was last year that I started to listen to his music.

I have read every bit of information on this website about Christopher Lee Rios and I agree with everything. And yes he is THE GREATEST RAPPER OF ALL TIME WITHOUT DOUBT.

HE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED BY ME AND ALL OF HIS FANS

WHAT'S UP? I APPRECIATE YOUR PUN TRIBUTE. HE WAS THE MAN. I WISH HE WAS
STILL ALIVE SO WE COULD HAVE EXPERIENCED WHAT HE HAD FOR THE FUTURE. ALL
THREE ALBUMS WERE HOT, BUT CAPITAL PUNISHMENT IS ONE OF THE HOTEST
ALBUMS EVER. I FIRST STARTED TO FOLLOW HIM WHEN I SAW HIM ON BET WHEN HE
HAD THE NOT A PLAYER VIDEO( THE ONE WITH RONALD ISLEY THAT THE FAKE FANS
DON'T REMEMBER). FROM THAT TIME I WAS IMPRESSED WITH HIS LYRICS AND HIS
FLOW. HE WAS ALWAYS ENTERTAINING AND REPPIN. STILL MY FAVORITE CELEBRITY
OF ALL TIME. I REMEMBER WHERE I WAS WHEN I FOUND OUT HE DIED. I WAS
WATCHING RAP CITY AT MY MAN'S HOUSE AND IT CAME ACROSS THE SCREEN. I
COULDN'T BELIEVE IT. YOU KNOW WHEN SOMEONE YOU KNOW DIES UNEXPECTEDLY
IT'S HARD TO BELIEVE. THAT'S HOW IT WAS. IT ACTUALLY UPSET ME. I RHYME,
TOO, AND FIND SOME INSPIRATION IN PUN. I LOVE RAP BUT I FELT LIKE I
COULD RELATE TO PUN MORE THAN MOST RAPPERS. I WISH I COULD HAVE KNOWN
HIM. I'M SUPRISED I WROTE ALL THIS SHIT. YOU PROBABLY WON'T GET IT
ANYWAY. PUN FOREVER, THOUGH. ONE.

Yo i just spent 6 months in afganistan and i had all of puns cd's and even had my girl make cd's with songs that featured pun on them.Puns music always let me close my eyes and feel the verses, those months spent in afganistan were the worst of my life i had to leave my girl behind and had to deal with the pressure of being a medic, in a combat zone, but the music always calmed me always made me deal with situations a little easier cause there was always a song or rhyme that i could connect with at a moments time. I will be in the aug. issue of ESQUIRE magazine about operation anaconda im the puerto rican medic that they interviewed me on my life, and im glad i had a chance to put latinos in a mag like pun did. PUN IS THE NICEST EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok where do I start. It's so hard to even take the death of big pun to heart. Because he was not only the best, the smartest or funnyest but to me big pun was a father figure to me it may sound weird because he mad music about sex, money and drugs but he also made songs about how to stay in school and dont follow the paths of nagetivity. Big pun had a gift to speak to the youth through rap to me that was the best voice because of him I do better in school and set little kids that are doing bad on the right path. Even though im a christian his beliefes were the same as mine. So thanks to pun mom for creating such a great and wonderful person and to you for making this site in tribute to THE LATE GREAT BIG PUN

What up son? I just found your site and think it's madd ILL. I've been a Pun fan for a while now and think he IS the greatest lyricist that has been in the game. No one can deny that, Pun could hardly let words out when speaking with out running out of breath, but when that nigga started spitting it was over. It was like he lost all weight, evryone gives props to B.I.G and Pac, true they were ILL niggas too. But to be a minority, like PUN was, in a game like hip-hop and cause an uproar like he did, is amazing. How much more proof does anyone need to realize that the ILLEST nigga ever will be a Puertoriqueno with skills out the ass. My man dropped his first single "Still not a Playa" and had even morenitos fronting the language. Come on now hands down PUN is the best. Even now that he has past I still haven't heard a nigga who can make me wild out off a spitting lyrics like he did, and still does. R.I.P PUN

Yea i wanna say that i love Pun to death,, He was undoubtedly THE best
rapper who ever graced a microphone,, I love him so much that it is hard for
me to even right what i feel about him right now,, all i can say right now is
that when he passed i really had tears coming down my eyes and before that
day the last time i ever had a tear come down my face was when my moms used
to beat ma ass when i was madd young,, I got so much love for him that i
would stand up and go Toe to Toe, Blow for Blow against anyone tryin to
dishonor his name ,, when people ask me why i rep him so much i just tell
them that he is mah GodFather , they know it might not be true but by me
sayin that they know how serious i am about it,, so i pray for him and his
family and hope they live good fa ever na mean, 1 love, TSquadian pa' vida,,,

need to keep Pun alive and this is where it all starts- from his tru fans. Big Pun is, was and always will be a lyrical god. His style was like no other and not enough people recognize his talent. Everybody is always talkin bout biggie and pac and how they are the greatest, while they both got skills- Pun is the by far the Greatest and the biggest loss to the Hip-Hop nation. No one eva could or eva will be half the emcee he is. R.I.P. First of all, I give a lot of respect to the creator of this site. It took me a lot of time to find a good site on the legend. I hope people will one day realize that Big Pun was a rapper not to be slept on. Till this day, I still have not heard a greater MC. I love Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G, but I feel as if Big Pun deserves all his props too. Plus he inspired a lot of young people and put Latinos on the map again. I miss him like crazy even though I never met the man. I play his cd's and close my eyes and vision him giving me advise or controlling my anger. "Dream Shatterer" practically shits on every song any rapper came up with till this day, and he died in 2000. That is legendary. I love Pun and I want the site to represent to the fullest. Thanks.

Que Pasa,

This has been tha illest web site on tha man Big Pun. Big Pun is tha one who inspired me to start writing lryics and get into tha game of hip hop. If it werent for him i wouldnt have knew that i have some skills with tha pen and tha pad. Every time i write something i think of him and it feel like he is sittin right beside me when i do write tell my whats tight and whats not. Big Pun showed the world that hip hop wasnt only for them morenos but for anybody who comes from tha streets. i just pray that god will send us some one close to him cause we need antoher latino to repp us like pun did. and one more thing to all those fake players that say B.I.G. and pac were tha best sit down cause you havent heard the Big Moon Dogg's true beats stright from his heart and mind not from some big white record execeutive.

wuz up,
yo i know its been awhile since anybody prolly sent anything for da tribute page but i wuz just "surfing da web" and found ur page.  Mad props on it yo.  It makes me happy 2 see dat someone actually cares enough 2 take time and make a site 4 Pun.  but like i wuz sayin....even though i neva got 2 meet Pun i feel like i know him u know.  I mean   2 me pun wuz, no still is, one of if not the best MC'z ever.  And it pisses me off too dat nobody says sh*t about when he passed away.  Its always about Big and Pac.  Man its time 2 give props 2 Pun.   He's a big inspiration on me.  Everytime i write i listen 2 some of his sh*t.  I don't take none of his sh*t though.  And i know i'll neva be as good as him.  Maybe close 2.  Even though he wuz Boricua he didn't just rep it for them.  I mean he helt it down 4 all Latino's.   I mean i wanna see some more Latino's on MTV, BET, E, MuchMusic all dat sh*t.  Sh*t i wanna see us make a channel like LET Latino Entertainment Television or somthin u know.  Cuz Telemundo aint cuttin it.  All in all i'ma hold it down 4 Pun till i'm gone.  And maybe someday i'll be able 2 reach his level.  And rep it for da Latino community.  LP baby latino pride ONE!!!

I'm from London, England, and I have just discovered Big Pun. I already knew quite a lot about hip-hop, but when i actually sat down without any distractions, his lyrics were very good. But I disagree when people say that he was the greatest rapper ever. Sure, his lyrics were extremely good, but he is behind Biggie in terms of wit, and he does not have the iconic status of 2Pac. Now I'm not de-grading Pun or anything, and respect him for what he did for the Latino rappers, but I just disagree with some of your views.

It gets me mad to hear radio stations and radio channels and other music fans
give props and respect to Biggie and Pac on the day they passed and
considering them the greatest. They are far from the best cause PUN was a
true lyricist and a rapper and most of all the greatest. He had multiple
flows, he wasn't on that rappin about cars, money and all the shit he got, he
was an inspiration to anyone growing up in the hood. all ya morenos need to
give it up and realize the greatest in the rap game was a Puerto Rican. one

I think Pun was the greatest lyricist of all time.  I have arguements with my friends because they say Biggie or Pac was the greatest, but Pun had the flow of the century.  His rhymes flowed like water.  The reason I started listening to pun was because he was a boricua too.  When he passed away, that really hit all the ricans everywhere.  There won't ever be another one who  can flow like pun did.

Big Pun gave great insporation for the rest of the LATINO Rap Artist all over to push harder to get into the Rap Industry to be heard. He Inspired me to stay in the game and keep on making those hot tracks. He came to Portland Maine back in 99 for Halloween and a half hour before BIG PUN came on stage, I was given the priviledge to show my skills for the hyped crowd waiting for Pun to rock the show. It was one of the best times in my life and I'll never forget that BIG PUN gave me my props and shock my hand as i got off stage. I felt like a super star for a moment and was right the in the front row to see the man who inspired me to stay in the game. I am sad to say that I will never get to see or here BIG PUN anymore but i can enjoy the music he did leave behind for me and the world to BUMP. I have a 60 min. mix of most of the songs that he has done but I cant release it without getting in trouble but i can give it out for free to any REAL BIG PUN FANS so they can add this to thier Greatest BIG PUN Hits Collection. The mix is tight and the scratches are on point like Boom then I knock em out/ Puerto Rock style. R.I.P. BIG PUN you will always be missed. shout out to the TERROR SQUAD, FAT JOE

BIG PUN 4 LIFE
Christopher Lee Rios AKA Big Pun. That nigga taught the value of life. He threw some rhymes that made u think of everyday situations. Also, that there is more to hip-hop then violence, that u could rap about present time and about life struggles u encoutered and battles that u took to get where u r now. Also proud cuz i'm Puerto Rican and that felt a good impact 4 us when he was and still be known as one of the greatest MC ever lived. Cuz of him I started again doing beats and lyrics if it wasn't for him I wouldn't stopped and maybe I would never know how far I could get. Maybe
cuz of him I'll be one of the best MC in the upcoming years. Peace  Francisco aka Betterican

Big Pun taught me, and all of my peeps about the possibilities we all can achieve with the power of imagination. He has inspired me to be all the various facets in my life - a thug, an intellect, a father, a friend, a poet, a leader,a hard worker, a dedicated family member, an honest individual, and most of all someone who realized his position in hip-hop, a position that carries responsibility to history for the fact of being a role model for others to follow. Lets remember the best of Pun and the hope he had for his masses. One Love. Ivan Direct.

BIG PUN WAS AN INSPIRATION AS AN ARTIST AND AS A LATINO ARTIST. HE SHOWED THE WORLD THAT ANYBODY CAN DO IT. AS GREAT AS THE OTHER RAPPERS MIGHT BE, FOR ME AND A LOT OF PEOPLE THERE WOULD BE NOBODY BETTER THAN HIM. HE WAS A LYRICAL GENIOUS AND HIS FLOW WAS INCREDIBLE. HE AMAZED ME WITH HIS CONTENT, HE MADE ME LAUGH, MADE ME THINK, REALIZE THINGS. PLUS HE REPRESENTED FOR ALL LATINOS IN THE WORLD AND BROUGHT BACK THE BRONX REAL HARD. THERE WILL BE ONE AND NOBODY BETTER THAN THE GREAT CHRISTOPHER LEE RIOS A.K.A. BIG PUN. MUCH LUV TO HIS WIFE AND KIDS AND THE TERROR SQUAD. HOLD YOUR HEAD UP.

as an emcee, big pun has been an inspiration on me on a lyrical but he inspired me the most with his pride. until pun came into the industry, i had yet to see a man so passionate of his nationality. i have always been proud of being puerto rican but when i saw how he represented boricuas the way he did, it made me even more proud of being puertorican. as an emcee i feel that pun was and forever will be the greatest lyricist to get on the mic, i have felt that even before his demise and i will forever have that feeling in my heart. although i never knew him i feel like we were connected through bloodline and i will miss his music and his essence of puerto rican strength. i will try my hardest to uphold that in my rhymes and everyday life. pun will be missed. no doubt on that. as long as his music is still being played, Christopher Rios will always live.

What can you say about a musically gifted friend like the BIG PUNISHER.
A couple of words come into mind:
GREAT, REAL, FIGHTER, WRITER, GENIUS.
Aside from being someone who kept it real (never phony)
HE WAS A SPECTACULAR LYRICIST.
The way he could just sit down and write a platinum song (in minutes) was credit to the talent he withheld inside. To him the world was just not Black & White. It was Hip Hop, Universal! He loved everyone and everyone loved Pun.
THE RAPPER,THE SON,THE HUSBAND,THE FATHER,THE FRIEND WITH THE HEART OF GOLD.
My memories of Pun will always be good ones. Good memories of a good friend.

I just hope to be able to contribute to his cause of raising latino pride. He loved what he did and always gave credit when due.
Never thought twice when it was time to help out the next man. In his presence you felt, SPECIAL, HUMAN. He was so real at times people couldn`t understand it. I admired that about him.
YOU WILL BE GREATLY MISSED PUN, YOU HAVE MADE YOUR PRESENCE FELT IN A BIG WAY.

his whole style revelated every part of my brain that could be elevated
for that I thank him and for blastin away the conventional styles and
delivery of lyrics at play. monotony is the enemy and his work created
and creates the freshest reaction each an every time; his lyrics and
their brilliance to me is like the first time i sat down and realised
the magnitude of hip hop and the effect it was about to have on my life.

With the passing of yet another hip-hop legend, Eric Sermon, I thought back at Big Pun... He was THE best rapper, excuse me : IS the best rapper ever. With his lyrics that were and hard and funny he was able to attract many people to hip-hop music. He also founded the best instrumentals to fit with his lyrical skillz. With this all he became my greatest hip-hop idol.
I can' t really say many more things yo... he is just the best...
I'm not from the USA but I'm from Belgium (Europe) were I always searched to get all of the big pun lp's..now I've got them all and there all equally dope I think.

Yo that's it ..r.i.p. big pun
